Love the Street evangelism training in Norwich
Starting at St Peter's Church, fellow pilgrims led by the Bishop Graham, began the Prayer Pilgrimage from Cringleford. They walked to Round House Park Willow Centre and onto the new shops. It was good to meet and greet people along the way and stop to offer prayers for the local community.
The pilgrimage then walked to the chaplaincy at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Bishop Graham was welcomed onto the wards where he could meet and pray for patients and staff. There was also time to bless the Cloth of Kindness which is currently in the chapel.
From there the pilgrimage went to St Remegius Church in Hethersett, Wymondham Abbey, St Andrew's Church in Hingham, All Saints Church in Wrenningham Church, Leonard Cheshire DisAbility in East Carleton, St Mary Magdalene at Mulbarton and finally at St Mary the Virgin at Swardeston.
Throughout the day people joined in with the pilgrimage and supported the effort and opportunity to enlarge their understanding of those with whom we share our communities and to pray for them.
Schools, shops, pubs and restaurants, village halls, banks and factories, the hospital, the care home and housing estates old and new; this was an occasion to pray for those in the Diocese, ask for God's blessing and affirm our commitment to growth.
