Love the Street evangelism training in Norwich
Aylsham Parish Church hope that the event will encourage people to be able to talk about this often taboo subject.
Revd Canon Andrew Beane, Team Rector said:
"If we truly want to celebrate someone's life we need to encourage people to talk to their closest relatives or friends about their wishes.
"If they can't talk then perhaps write down the type of music, hymns and readings that they think would help those grieving. Some of the best funeral funerals services I've taken are those that have been pre-planned, so that the congregation celebrating someone's life know that the words spoken, music played and hymns sung are true reflections of their loved ones."
Working with local Funeral Directors, Ivan Fisher Funerals, the church is hosting a day of displays, exhibitions and places to talk about funerals, death, and grief. There will be opportunities to speak with Stonemasons, Will Writers, Florists and also a place to find advice, guidance, and support.
