Churchwarden Nomination Forms
Churchwarden Nomination Forms are legally required to be partially completed following the election of Churchwardens at each parish's Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) by the Chair of the meeting (if the Churchwarden is the Chair a countersignature must be provided), before being sent to the appropriate Archdeacon's office. These forms will be available for Churchwardens to sign at the Archdeaconry Central Visitation(s) in the presence of their Archdeacon and Rural Dean, following which they will be legally able to discharge their duties for another year.
Please note that these forms are distinct from the Nomination for Churchwarden forms where Churchwardens are nominated for election prior to the APCM, and are signed to declare that the candidate is eligible for election and not disqualified from holding office.
The forms are emailed in February of each year to Incumbents, Rural Deans, PCC Secretaries and Parish/Benefice Administrators, and will be made available to APCM Chairs to complete at the Annual Meeting. If you are a Churchwarden and have any questions regarding the form, please approach your incumbent (or your Rural Dean if your benefice is in vacancy) who has a copy of both the form and the instructions they need for completion.
