Mission

In this section you will find information and resources to help you live out your faith and serve your communities.

We work with individuals, parishes, benefices and deaneries to inspire, train and equip the whole people of God in this mission. We seek to resource local mission through a number of projects and initiatives, partnering with other national agencies and organisations.

The Church of England has five marks of mission which are:

1. To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom

2. To teach, baptise and nurture new believers

3. To respond to human need by loving service

4. To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation

5. To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth

There is a vision for churches, schools and chaplaincies in Norfolk and Waveney.  We see the mission and ministry of the whole of the Diocese of Norwich as being about how we live our lives together, for the flourishing of every person in every place. Transformed by Christ, prayerful, pastoral, prophetic.
