Bishop’s Day of Prayer

The day will start at 9.30am with Bishop Graham leading opening worship. This will be live streamed on the Norwich Cathedral YouTube channel, here.

Throughout the day small groups from deaneries across the diocese will lead prayers committing to prayer the Diocesan Vision – read more about the Vision here. Each group has also been allocated an area of the Cathedral to gather, which means that during the day there will have been prayer throughout the Cathedral.

You are warmly encouraged to join this day of prayer either in person or online. If you wish to attend in person, there is no need to book. Norwich Cathedral is COVID-compliant; the safety of all gathering to pray being of paramount importance.

Feel free to join us on social media using #BishopsDayofPrayer where we will be sharing your prayers across our channels as we all pray in the Vision together.

This Day of Prayer is for us all to join together and pray into the new Vision as a diocese and commit it to God. It comes alongside the global prayer movement, Thy Kingdom Come, which encourages us to pray for those around us to come to know the love of Christ in their lives. More information on this years’ resources and more can be found here.

Bishop Graham will end the Day of Prayer at 3.30pm. This will also be live streamed on the Norwich Cathedral YouTube channel, here.

Speaking about the day and the Vision, Bishop Graham said:

“I am very much looking forward to praying with as many from across our diocese as possible on this day, during the season of Pentecost. Do join us, either online or physically if you can, to hold in prayer our life together as we seek to be further transformed by Christ into a prayerful, pastoral and prophetic people.”
