Posted on: Thursday 14 November 2024 | Diocese of Norwich
Easton, Norfolk
Full-time – 35 hours per week
Transformed by Christ: prayerful, pastoral, prophetic
The Bishop of Norwich seeks a new DDO and IME2 to encourage all vocations and develop the deacons and priests we need, so we can fully love and serve the people of the Diocese in the name of Jesus.
You will lead and oversee the process of discernment, training and formation from first enquiry through to the completion of a title post with joy, hope and creativity.
You will be someone who:
- longs for the flourishing of God’s church and people
- thrives in enabling others to fulfil their God-given potential
- listens well and discerns deeply, being reflective and fair
- has creative ideas about how to strategically increase vocations
- works well with others and is an instinctive team player, appreciating the need for confidentiality and that safeguarding is paramount.
We can offer…
- a role in a newly forming Mission & Ministry department with the chance to put vocation at the heart of our diocesan strategy
- supportive and enthusiastic colleagues in lay and ordained ministry
- the opportunity to exercise the role of a priest in different contexts across the diocese in preaching and teaching
- office space in an attractive diocesan office where you will be a member of the diocesan parish support team.
- 25 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays and 3 days of fixed annual leave at Christmas
- Healthcare Cash Plan (after six months)
- Enrolment in the Church of England Clergy Pension Scheme
- The office base at Easton is in an attractive location benefitting from free parking with easy access to the A47, just 5 minutes from the Longwater retail park.
