The walk was led by Church of England Rector the Revd Martin Greenland, Methodist Minister the Revd Steve Cullis and Roman Catholic Deacon the Revd Peter Glanville. A retired BBC Radio producer, Peter conceived the original idea of the walk about 14 years ago, as a useful tool to encourage ecumenism among the villagers.
A cross-section of denominations joined together to recite relevant prayers outside St. Edmund’s Church, the police station, Barclay’s Bank, the veterinary hospital, the High School, the cemetery, the recreation centre, the Medical Centre, the library and finished at the Methodist Church where the group enjoyed refreshments arranged by Steve Cullis.
