The top of the tower at St. Michael’s Church, Oulton, Suffolk was the location for one celebratory afternoon tea, with another at St. Mark’s Church, Bridge Road, Oulton Broad for representatives of key workers including Care Homes, Schools, Funeral Directors, supermarket workers, mask and scrub makers, vaccination car park assistants and the Nursing Director from James Paget Hospital.
The Oulton Broad Team ministry wanted to show their appreciation for those who went above and beyond during the pandemic, for their dedication and duty shown and recognise that they are still working under pressure.
The Team said, “We are grateful to the fabulous and colourful bunting made by Westwood Primary School, The Limes Primary Academy and Warren Special School. Their rainbows and colour show hope. We wanted to reach out to those in our community with a heartfelt thank you.”
During the evening, there was bell ringing at St. Michael’s Church and at 8pm, a toll of 73 bells for the NHS. Representatives from the Oulton Parish Council attended this event.
