The Revd Canon Darren Thornton received a Trust Pride Award from the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

The Pride awards are about recognising and appreciating the special contribution that Hospital colleagues make on a daily basis, which represents the very best of NNUH and the NHS. Revd Darren’s award is for being an outstanding example of the Trust Pride Values in action.

Revd Darren was thanked for his care, commitment and dedication, demonstrated to others in the course of his work. He was presented with the award by Paul Jones, the Trusts Chief People Officer. Paul also praised Darren for being an inspiration in the Hospital and said he was highly deserving of the award.

Last year, the Norfolk and Norwich Chaplaincy team won two staff awards for outstanding work and service to both patients and staff.
