There are rarely any quiet weeks for our bishops, but Bishop Ian has enjoyed a particularly packed schedule of parish events throughout the county in recent days.
This began with the introduction of Revd Cheryl Ramballi to the Blofield benefice, where she will soon be licensed as Assistant Priest.

In addition, he authorised David as a new Authorised Worship Assistant (pictured, second left). In the words of Bishop Ian: “Lots of good things emerging around the team.”
Next stop was St Margaret’s Church in Drayton, for the confirmation of four members of the congregation.

A musical treat was next on the agenda, with Sunday afternoon Songs of Praise at St Catherine’s Church in Ludham.

“The scratch band are sensational,” Bishop Ian said. “I’m really looking forward to walking with them over the summer through a number of mission events led by the band. Look out for FLOW – the Mission to the Waterside benefice.”
More confirmations on Wednesday took the bishop to Filby for a service at All Saints Church.

“Nine lovely people making their own public affirmation of faith. William’s story of his transformation from alcohol addiction was inspiring,” the Bishop of Thetford added.
