The Norwich Shared Vocation Space 2024-25 programme has now come to a close, with this month seeing the last of six sessions held to bring together people throughout our region to explore their call to be a leader and minister.
Around 35 people from every corner of the diocese have met monthly to think through the five marks of mission, to hear people talking about their own vocational journey and to make space so they can think about what it is that God might be calling them to – whether that is being an AWA, an LLM or a priest.
The whole course ended with an extended time of worship and praise and the invitation to write down what God might be calling each of them to explore next.
Revd Richard Lamey, our Director of Mission and Ministry, said: “It has been a joy and privilege to get to know them, to walk and learn with them and to see the amazing things God has done in their life and continues to do in their life.
“The whole course has been a great success. Each individual and their response to God’s call is a witness to God’s ongoing love for his people and offers hope for the mission and growth of the church in Norfolk and Waveney.
“Is God calling you or someone you know to come along to the next Shared Vocation Space which will start in October? Sometimes all it takes is for a friend to nudge you into hearing God’s voice and purpose for you.”
With this edition of the programme at an end, thoughts inevitably move on to what the next instalment will offer – and who may join. Could it perhaps be you?
