A small number of people will be invited in advance to robe.

Archdeacon Karen says:

“I have loved my time in Norwich – the city, the Diocese and the many wonderful people I’ve been privileged to work with. But I have come to realise that I need to be geographically closer to family, and I feel very excited at the prospect of a post that allows me to do that while taking forward my passion for enabling the ministry of all God’s people. I will forever have a place in my heart for Norwich and will continue to pray for Bishop Graham and the life of the Diocese.”

The Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich says:

“Karen Hutchinson has been an outstanding Archdeacon of Norwich and Warden of Readers, bringing much wisdom and care to the roles. For over a year she has longed to be nearer her family, including her new granddaughter, and this new role in the Diocese of Salisbury plays to her passions and strengths in enabling and encouraging lay ministry. She goes with much thanks and our prayers for the new opportunities that will lie ahead.”

Our prayers go with Archdeacon Karen and her husband, Richard, as they move to Salisbury in March and as she begins her new ministry.
