The stories will be shared through the school’s online learning platforms and are also available to view on the Diocese of Norwich YouTube channel.
Filmed on a phone by his daughter, Liv in Bishop’s House garden and kitchen the four stories covered are Zacchaeus, the feeding of the 5,000, the paralysed man lowered through the roof and the parable of the good Samaritan. Bishop Graham has enjoyed visiting many of the schools in his Diocese during his Deanery visits, but these have had to be put on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic and he wanted to connect in another way. He said:
“I enjoyed making these short videos of Bible stories with my daughter for our academies and schools around the Diocese of Norwich. I’m hoping they’ll bring a bit of fun and understanding to some of the stories Jesus told and were told of him. I hope they will add to the excellent resources our teaching staff are already providing for our pupils during this time.”
Director of Education, Paul Dunning said:
“The Bible is full of wonderful stories and guidance on how to live our lives. The Gospels describe the life and teachings of Jesus, and in an accessible way, these short videos bring the Bible alive. They will be useful to families and schools as they engage with important passages in the Christian story and I’m sure will be enjoyed by young and old alike! They can be used in class, in Collective Worship and at home.”
