The Diocese of Norwich has introduced a range of family friendly policies for clergy. These include policies to cover adoption leave, shared parental leave, maternity and paternity leave.
Tim Sweeting, the Diocesan Secretary says:
“We have developed a range of family friendly policies that respond to the feedback we’ve received from clergy about what would enable them to thrive. We see this as vital to our core purpose of supporting local mission and ministry across Norfolk an Waveney. I really encourage our clergy to take advantage of them.”
The Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance (NDBF) is a regional charity which provides wrap around services for parishes across Norfolk and Waveney. With financial contributions through parish share, the NDBF pays for clergy and curate stipends, housing and pension as well as ministry training and development.
There are currently 212 licensed clergy in the Diocese of Norwich, of which 152 are paid.
