The Broads has Talent

St Benedict’s Church in Horning hosted the first ever ‘The Broads has Talent’ service for children in the benefice. Eleven children volunteered to perform and twenty-three children attended the service with their parents.

The service began with a bible reading and then a message about how God has given each one of us different talents to use. It then concluded with prayer. A children’s entertainer started off the talent show, which featured singers, dancers, comedians, musicians and gymnasts.

Fr Ben Bradshaw is the Rector of the Benefice of St Benedict which includes Ashmanhaugh, Barton Turf, Beeston St Lawrence, Horning, Irstead and Neatishead. Fr Ben said:

“We had a great time together and we are really laying down some strong foundations across the benefice which I hope and pray we can continue to nurture for many years to come.”

The church community has also recently launched a pastoral care team, where members of the congregations are going out and visiting people who now find themselves housebound and cannot attend in person.
