Parker’s CE VC Primary School in Saham Toney and Caston CE VA Primary School, both part of the Dove Federation of Schools became part of this multi academy trust on 1 November.
Oliver Burwood. Chief Executive Officer of (DNEAT) said:
“We are very excited to welcome the Dove Federation to DNEAT and I welcome all children, staff and families from Parkers and Caston Primary schools formally to our Trust.
“We have an excellent track record of working with small, rural, primary schools for improvement, with 85 per cent of our academies rated as good or better by Ofsted. It is very challenging running schools such as these in the current climate, without a wider network of support, which is what being part of our Trust will bring.
“The schools have engaged with us really well already and we look forward to continuing to work with them for the common goal of providing an exciting, engaging and rounded education that helps children succeed in all areas of life.”
Sarah Disney, Executive Head Teacher of the Dove Federation of Schools said:
“The Dove Federation school community are really pleased to be joining DNEAT. We believe that becoming part of the DNEAT family will open many doors for the schools and enable us to continue to grow and develop.
“Being part of a trust that understands the challenges of small schools is crucial in enabling us to continue to strengthen. We are really excited about the federation’s future and look forward to working with DNEAT.”
This takes the number of schools in the DNEAT to 36 across Norfolk and Waveney. Established in 2013, the Trust works to provide a safe haven for schools that want to preserve their Christian heritage, ethos and values and maintain their distinctive character whilst at the same time striving to improve the educational outcomes and life chances of the children it serves.
