St David’s Thorpe End, House for Duty Vicar
Posted on: Monday 17 March 2025
St David’s Thorpe End (four miles from the centre of Norwich) seeks a new vicar on a house for duty basis.
To support our mission, we are seeking someone for this part-time role who:
- will help to lead us into a deeper understanding of God and His plan for our church, through the guidance of His Holy Spirit, seeing the huge potential that is here
- will take a strong pastoral role and show a real sense of love and care towards our congregation and our community
- will lead our church forward to be a visible, tangible presence in the wider community, and who has a vision for bringing the good news of Christ to our community.
- will lead us in growing in numbers and growing younger.
- has the skills to engage warmly with people, so they feel loved and valued, and to welcome new people and families into the life of the church.
- will recognise and celebrate the variety of gifts amongst the congregation and encourage these to flourish, as we work together and support each other to serve God.
Further details can be found in the parish profile.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact The Venerable Keith James (archdeacon.norwich@dioceseofnorwich.org)
Please submit your Application and Confidential Declaration Form by 9.00am on 4 April to Sophie Bell by email to sophie.bell@dioceseofnorwich.org.
