Team Vicar, Aylsham and District Team (Bure Valley)

The Bure Valley Group seek an enthusiastic and mission minded priest to be a visible presence for good in the community.
The Team Vicar for the Bure Valley Group will have primary pastoral responsibility for the parishes of Badersfield, Brampton, Burgh-next-Aylsham, Buxton with Oxnead, Lammas and Marsham.
We are looking forward to welcoming our new Team Vicar, who will support us in our Vision to
- share the Good News of Jesus Christ through worship, prayer and loving service
- be an attractive and welcoming community, encouraging the participation of all
- serve the people of the parishes and to build on our ministry to families and young people
- grow our ministry in the schools at Buxton and Badersfield
- develop greater opportunities for teaching and exploring new ways of living out faith
- value our church buildings as witnesses to God’s love and care
We hope for a Team Vicar who
- is secure and confident in the love of God
- is emotionally intelligent and pastorally aware with good interpersonal skills
- will be an active presence in the community, offering support and care to those in need
- will develop work in the schools and build on good relationships
- will embrace a variety of forms of worship, both traditional and modern
- will strengthen our faith and build our confidence through thoughtful preaching
- will help us grow the church into the community and the community into the church, encouraging us to discover new ways of reaching out.
- help us create a plan for mission
- be an enthusiastic team player within the wider benefice
You will find a newly refurbished 4-bedroomed clergy house in the village of Buxton, benefice administration support, supportive PCCs and welcoming colleagues across the team.
